Lifetime Fly Rod Warranty

All Pescador on the Fly rods are covered by our lifetime, original-owner warranty. Manufacturing defects are rare, but they’re fully covered — and because we know real life happens on the water, we’ve got you covered when accidents do, too. High-stick a big trout, slam the tip in the car door, or step on your rod? We’ll get you back on the water quickly, regardless of cause.

No registration. No 30-day deadline. No hoops. Your rod is covered for life from the day you buy it — you never have to register anything.

What’s Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship — covered at no charge.
  • Accidental & angler-caused breakage (high-sticking, car doors, a misstep, and the like) — covered for a simple, published replacement-section fee.
  • Lifetime coverage for the original owner.

What It Costs

  • Manufacturing defects: no charge.
  • Replacement-section fee for accidental or angler-caused breakage:
    • Econ 101 — $40 per section
    • El Jefe — $60 per section
    • El Rey — $80 per section

It’s a flat, predictable per-section fee — no surprises. In the rare case a rod is damaged beyond a simple section replacement, we’ll tell you the cost up front before any work is done.

How It Works

1.  Email us at info@pescadoronthefly.com with a photo of the damage, a quick description of what happened (there’s usually a good story), and your order information (where and when you bought it).

2.  We’ll reply quickly. In many cases we can simply ship you a new section; in some cases we may ask you to send the rod in so we can determine the best fix. Either way, we’ll tell you exactly what to do.

3.  Pay the replacement-section fee — we’ll email you a link.

4.  We ship your replacement. Most replacement sections go out within 1–2 business days.

What’s Not Covered

  • Fire, theft, or lost rods or rod sections
  • Intentional breakage
  • Modification or customization of the finished rod

This warranty is limited to the repair and replacement of the rod and does not cover any other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Pescador on the Fly reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any product and to substitute discontinued models with comparable ones when necessary.

Our goal is simple: minimize your downtime and get you back on the water fast. If you ever have a question about your warranty, just reach out — you’ll talk to a real person who fishes.
